Who Should Get Vaccinated at a PRIVATE CLINIC?

Who Should Get Vaccinated at a PRIVATE CLINIC?
Adults and children who have missed NHS vaccinations, recently moved to the UK, or need a vaccine not routinely available on the NHS benefit most from a private clinic. Occupational requirements, travel preparation, and personal preference are also common reasons.
Private vaccination is a good option if:
- You have missed a scheduled NHS jab and cannot get a timely appointment.
- You need a vaccine not covered by the NHS schedule, such as chickenpox or hepatitis B for personal use.
- You want a vaccination review alongside a private GP consultation.
- You work in healthcare, childcare, or another role requiring documented proof of immunity.
- You are arriving from overseas and need to catch up on vaccines missed earlier.
- You want access within days rather than weeks.

NHS vs Private Vaccinations: WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
NHS vs Private Vaccinations: WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
The NHS provides vaccinations on a set national schedule, covering vaccines considered cost-effective at a population level. Private clinics offer the same vaccines, plus others not routinely available on the NHS, with faster access and longer appointments.
Common reasons patients choose private vaccination:
- The chickenpox vaccine is not part of the routine NHS childhood schedule in the UK.
- The shingles vaccine is only offered on the NHS to those aged 70 to 79, but is available privately from age 50.
- Hepatitis B is offered on the NHS in specific high-risk groups only; others can access it privately without a referral.
- Adult catch-up vaccines can have long wait times at some NHS practices.
- Some patients prefer a longer pre-vaccination consultation than a standard NHS slot allows.
There is no requirement to use your NHS GP for vaccinations. You can book privately without a referral, at any of our ten clinics across the UK.

Which Routine Vaccines DO ADULTS NEED?

Which Routine Vaccines DO ADULTS NEED?
The UK adult vaccination schedule includes several vaccines recommended by the NHS and NICE, based on age, health status and occupation. These are the vaccines most adults should have up to date:
- Flu vaccine: recommended annually for adults over 65, those with certain health conditions, and anyone who wants protection. Available year-round at our clinics.
- Shingles vaccine: recommended by the NHS for adults aged 70 to 79. Available privately from age 50 using the Shingrix vaccine, which provides stronger protection than the older single-dose version.
- MenACWY vaccine: for young adults, those starting university, and travellers to high-risk regions, including those travelling for Hajj or Umrah.
- Chickenpox vaccine: not on the standard NHS schedule. Recommended for adults without immunity, particularly those with contact with immunocompromised individuals or newborns.
- Pneumococcal vaccine: for adults over 65 and those with certain long-term health conditions.
Our team can review your vaccination history and advise on which vaccines you are due or have missed.
Routine Vaccination FAQs
Our clinics offer a wide range of routine and non-routine vaccines, including flu, chickenpox (varicella), shingles (Shingrix), MenACWY, MMR, HPV, hepatitis B, pneumococcal and more. Costs vary by vaccine. See current pricing on our booking page, or call us for a quote before your appointment.

Yes. We offer the flu vaccine year-round at all of our clinics. While the NHS campaign runs from October onwards, there is clinical benefit to vaccination outside that window for some patients, including those who are immunocompromised or travelling.
Yes. Bring your existing records to your appointment and our clinician will review them, confirm which vaccines you have received, and advise on which remain outstanding.
No. You can book directly online or by phone. No GP referral is required for any of the vaccinations we offer.
Yes. We vaccinate adults and children. Our clinicians can advise on which vaccines are appropriate by age and health status.
Yes. The NHS currently offers the shingles vaccine to those aged 70 to 79. At our clinics, it is available privately from age 50, using the Shingrix vaccine, which provides stronger and longer-lasting protection than the older single-dose formulation.
Yes. A vaccination certificate or updated vaccination record is provided on the same visit, accepted by employers, travel authorities and healthcare providers.
MenACWY is a combined vaccine protecting against four strains of meningococcal bacteria: A, C, W and Y. It is recommended for young adults, university students, and those travelling to regions where meningococcal disease is more common, including Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. Saudi Arabia mandates proof of MenACWY vaccination for Hajj and Umrah entry. Available at all of our clinics without a referral.
